Zach Parise scored his first goal in nearly a year, as the Devils improve to 1-1 on the year. Kovalchuk and Fayne each scored once, and Parise added a second goal on an empty net to ice the game. Kovalchuk also contributed two assists, as did Palmieri. Petr Sykora also recorded his first point in a Devils uniform since 2002.
